CHILDREN

Our Goal

The goal of EBC’s Children’s Ministry is to provide a safe and secure environment for sound Biblical teaching and training through the use of creative programs and dedicated volunteers

“…so the next generation would know…” Psalm 78:6a

Travel to Timeless Jubilee Junction. The name Jubilee Junction (our Children's Ministry Wing) was chosen to represent two aspects of the Christian life; “Jubilee,” a festive celebration, a time for rejoicing and “Junction,” a point of intersection or decision making. Thus Jubilee Junction is a place where life-changing decisions are made and celebrated.

Our Safety Statement

In Jubilee Junction safety is very important. All workers eighteen and older have successfully passed a national background check, had references called and been known by the church for a minimum of six months. From plans for fire and earthquake evacuations to procedures for protection against strangers, we have each child’s safety as our top priority.

Children’s Classes

Studying the Bible is paramount at Emmanuel. When children turn three and are promoted from Promise Park to Noah's Floating Zoo, they begin a systematic study of the Bible. The curriculum we use is The Gospel Project published by Lifeway. This curriculum is based on a three-year sequential cycle from Genesis through Revelation. On any given Sunday, every child in Jubilee Junction studies the same lesson written for their particular age level.

AWANA
AWANA

The two-fold mission of AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) is to “reach boys and girls for Christ and to train them to serve him.” From mid-September through mid-April, AWANA meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:15pm. Children memorize verses from the Bible, listen to a message, sing songs, and play fast-paced games. Emmanuel offers three age-graded clubs:

Cubbies: age three by September 1, through pre-school
Sparks: Kindergarten through second grade
Truth and Training: third through sixth grade

Please note that only AWANA workers, those serving in Youth Ministry, or those taking classes on Wednesday nights may register their child(ren) for the Nursery.

You can sign your child(ren) up for AWANA on Wednesday nights at EBC.
